July Fridays in Loveland have a particular kind of energy. The week feels like it was three weeks long, the sun is still high at 6pm, and the last thing you want is anything complicated. You just want to sit somewhere cool and actually decompress.
We've been making this drink at the shop all summer. Two minutes, no blender, no fuss. It starts with the Wims Flavored Wellness tincture in Lemon Basil ($40), which is genuinely one of the better-tasting tinctures we've ever stocked.
The Recipe
Fill a glass with ice. Add 6 to 8 ounces of sparkling water. Drop in a half dropper to a full dropper of Wims Lemon Basil — start with half if you haven't used a Delta-9 product before. Squeeze in a small wedge of fresh lemon. Stir.
If you have fresh basil around (and in July you might actually have some growing), press a couple of leaves between your palms to open them up and float them on top. It makes the drink look nicer and adds to the aroma. Totally optional. The drink is good without it.
