There’s something about the last week of July in Loveland that feels like a quiet dare. The trails are still good. The Thompson River Greenbelt is shaded in the morning. The days are long. And somewhere in the back of your head, you know August is going to change the pace.

We get a particular kind of customer this week. Someone who’s been meaning to get out all summer and just decided — this is the week. Or someone who’s been out every weekend and is starting to feel it in their legs, their sleep, their Monday morning energy.

The Trails Are Still Good

If you haven’t made it out to Devil’s Backbone or the Foothills Trail this summer, late July is still a solid window. Morning temperatures are manageable, and the afternoon thunderstorms have been less reliable this season. Get out early, take your time, and don’t try to cram three months of hiking into one ambitious Tuesday.

Chapungu Sculpture Park out at Centerra is also worth a slow walk if you want something lower-key. Free to stroll through, easy on the legs, beautiful grounds. A good option if you’re working through some soreness from the weekend but still want to be outside.

The Recovery Part Most People Skip

The best time to think about recovery is before you need it, not the morning after. Colorado summer stacks fast — a long hike Saturday, yard work Sunday, back at the desk Monday — and that accumulation catches up quicker than people expect.

The Colorado Fresh Nano Amplified CBD Roll-On ($85) is one of the things we keep pointing people toward at this point in the season. It combines nano-emulsified CBD with arnica, tea tree, aloe, and camphor — a recovery blend that absorbs faster than standard topicals because of the nano formulation. The roll-on applicator keeps things mess-free. THC-free, so no concerns there.

For everyday balance through the week — not heavy recovery, just staying even — the Koi Anytime Balance CBD Gummies ($30) are one of our most consistent sellers right now. Two gummies, 20mg of broad-spectrum CBD, berry lemonade flavor. People reach for them mid-morning or after lunch. Nothing dramatic, just steady support through the day.

Make the Most of What’s Left

Most customers we talk to this week aren’t looking for something intense. They want things that work quietly — help the muscles feel less stiff after a long trail day, help the night feel a little more restful, help the week feel a little more manageable before August gets going.

That’s been our whole thing since we opened in 2018. Not complicated. Just useful.

We’re at 677 E. Eisenhower in Loveland, open Monday through Saturday, 11am–6pm. Come in and talk through what makes sense for where you are in the season. There’s still good summer left.
