CBG (cannabigerol) is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in hemp. It's often called the mother cannabinoid because CBD, THC, and other compounds form from CBGA (its acidic precursor) as the plant matures.

Both are non-intoxicating, but CBG is typically associated with daytime use — focus, mood, and recovery — while CBD is used more broadly for general balance. They're often blended together for a fuller-spectrum effect.

Drug tests look for THC metabolites, not CBG. However, broad-spectrum and full-spectrum CBG products can contain trace THC under the 0.3% federal limit. If drug testing is a concern, choose isolate or THC-free formulations.
