We're about a month into summer, and the shop feels different than it did in May. The questions coming through the door have shifted. What people are reaching for has shifted. Figured a Friday was a good time for a quick check-in on what mid-summer looks like at The CBD Store.
The Big One: Sleep
More than anything else this summer, customers are coming in asking about sleep. Long Colorado days mess with your body's sense of when to wind down, and the heat doesn't help. A lot of people say they're tired by 9pm but lying awake until midnight anyway.
What we keep recommending is the Koi Complete Nighttime Gummies — CBD + CBN + Delta-9 THC ($45). It combines three cannabinoids in one gummy: CBD for general relaxation, CBN which is the cannabinoid most closely associated with sleep, and a small amount of Delta-9 THC to take the edge off a restless night. People who've been relying on melatonin alone and still waking up at 3am have been coming back to tell us this combination works better for them. It's worth a conversation if summer sleep has been rough.
Active People and Sore Bodies
This is Loveland. People are hiking, mountain biking, running trails, spending weekends at altitude. We see a lot of folks come in on Monday or Tuesday after a big outdoor weekend asking about topicals — not anything prescription, just something that actually works on tired muscles and joints.
The Colorado Fresh Nano Amplified CBD Roll-On ($85) has been moving steadily all summer. It uses nano-emulsified CBD alongside arnica, camphor, and tea tree — a combination that's been used for muscle soreness for decades, now in a roll-on that's easy to take on the trail. No mess, no greasy residue, and the nano format absorbs faster than standard CBD topicals.
For something at a lower price point, the CBDfx Muscle & Joint Creams ($35) are a solid everyday option. We carry both the cooling formula and the heating-and-cooling version. A lot of customers keep both — cooling for right after activity, heating for the day after.
The Question We Didn't See Coming
We've gotten more questions this summer about hemp policy than in any previous year. Customers want to know whether the products they rely on are going to stay available. It's a fair question — there's been a lot of news about federal hemp rules and what might happen in November 2026.
Here's what we can say honestly: everything on our shelf right now is legal and compliant. And as of last week, the White House called on Congress to preserve access to full-spectrum CBD products and potentially delay the November changes. Nothing is guaranteed, but the signal is better than it was a few months ago. We'll keep watching it and keep stocking products we can stand behind.
Come Find Us
That's the mid-summer view from Loveland. We're at 677 E. Eisenhower Blvd., open Monday through Saturday 11am–6pm and Sunday 12pm–5pm. Phone is (970) 966-7939. If you've got questions about anything on the shelf — what's in stock, what might fit your situation — just come in. We'd rather spend five minutes talking it through than have you guess.
