September is one of those months where everyone in Loveland is doing a lot. The weather is still holding, the mountains are spectacular, and somehow the calendar filled back up while you were still enjoying summer. That's just how September works here — it doesn't ease you in.

We've been seeing it at the shop too. The questions have shifted. Not so much "help me sleep" as "I feel fine, I'm active, but I can't hold a thought past noon." That's a different kind of tired, and it needs a different kind of support.

What's Actually Going On

When your schedule goes from slow to full in the space of two weeks, the cognitive load catches up fast. New school schedules, work picking back up, trying to stay active before the season closes. None of it is bad — it's just a lot of mental tabs open at once.

The people who come in asking about daytime clarity usually aren't looking to wire themselves up. They want to feel present without the crash that comes after caffeine does its thing. That's where CBG has been showing up more in conversations at the shop.

CBG for the Daytime Stretch

Most people know CBD. Fewer know its sibling cannabinoid, CBG — cannabigerol — which shows up in a lot of daytime-leaning formulas. Where CBD tends to pull you toward calm, CBG leans more toward clarity and alertness. It's a subtle difference, but people who've used both tend to feel it.

One formula we've been reaching for a lot lately is the CBDfx Focus Mushroom Drops ($75). It pairs CBD and CBG with cordyceps, lion's mane, and chaga — three functional mushrooms that each play a different role. Cordyceps supports energy and stamina. Lion's mane is the cognitive one. Chaga rounds it out. It's a daytime formula through and through, and several of our regulars have made it part of their morning.

The CBDfx Morning Capsules ($70) are a simpler version of the same idea — CBD, CBG, caffeine, and botanicals in a single capsule. Good for people who want one thing instead of four, especially if they already have a morning routine they're happy with and just want to add to it.

A Word on Expectations

Neither of these is a substitute for actual rest. If September has you running on five hours a night, that's a different conversation. But if you're sleeping okay and still feel like your brain is half a step behind your body, that gap is worth paying attention to.
