Three weekends. Three events. All within a few miles of each other in Loveland.
October 10 brings the Downtown Loveland Pumpkin Festival to the heart of the city — local vendors, fall activities, and the kind of Saturday energy that makes you glad you stayed local. On the same day, the Colorado Wiener Fest sets up at Loveland Yards just down the road. Dog-friendly, free, and a good reason to extend the afternoon.
Then October 12, Chapungu Sculpture Park at Centerra hosts Wild Wonderful Weekend: Into the Wild. If you have not been to Chapungu, it is worth the trip. Roughly 90 large-scale Zimbabwean stone sculptures spread across landscaped grounds at Centerra — one of those places that has been here all along and most Loveland residents still have not discovered. The event is free and a quieter kind of October afternoon.
And October 17-18, the Applewood Arts Festival fall edition comes to Loveland — two days of fine art, handmade goods, and regional craftspeople. If you are starting to think about the holidays, this is usually the right place to start.
Making the Most of a Full Day Out
A few hours walking festival grounds in October sounds easy until you are on hour four. The combination of cooler air, uneven terrain, and more time on your feet than usual has a way of collecting in the lower back and legs by the end of the day.
We get a lot of customers coming in ahead of a busy weekend to stock up. The Colorado Fresh Nano Amplified CBD Roll-On ($85) is one of the more practical options — it fits in a bag, goes on clean without any residue, and the arnica and nano-CBD formula means it absorbs faster than a standard topical. Good to apply after a long afternoon walk, or the morning after.
If staying balanced throughout the day is more what you are after, the CBDistillery Ommm Gummies ($65) have been a consistent recommendation lately. They pair broad-spectrum CBD with CBG — the combination that tends to support a calm, clear-headed kind of day without anything sedating. People who want to feel present in a crowd without feeling off usually find these land well.
A Good October Reason to Get Out
Loveland does not always get credit for how much actually happens here in fall. But this October calendar is a reminder that you do not need to drive anywhere for a full weekend. The events are spread across three weekends, the venues are comfortable, and October weather on the Front Range is usually about as good as Colorado gets.
